What Brought You To Barry? I transferred here when the swim program started in August 2023. The values of the school closely align with mine as well, not to mention the location and the staff I communicated with during my transfer process. What Do You Do Now? I work in the Advancement Services department as a Graduate Assistant. My day-to-day work focuses primarily on prospect research and data analytics. I utilize the CRM system to extract valuable information, which I then synthesize and present to leadership. Although this is a parttime position, I genuinely enjoy the role, and I appreciate the level of respect and openness I receive, which makes me feel like a valued, full-time employee. Additionally, while I am working, I am also learning a great deal from my supervisors, which I can apply not only in the classroom but also later in my career. What’s in Your Bag Now? Whenever I head to class, I bring my laptop and chargers to stay on top of notes and course work, along with essential supplies such as a pen, notebook, and calculator. These are especially helpful in finance classes, where writing by hand makes it easier to process information. I also keep a snack, like a piece of fruit or a protein bar, to give me an energy boost when I need it. Chewing gum helps me stay focused during lectures, and my AirPods are a must-have for listening to music, whether it’s to wake up before class or to relax when the day feels overwhelming.
